    You must be wondering. Why Bedok ? Not Pasir Ris or Clementi. Yeah, I wonder too ..... Attended a wedding recently. Had a quick chat with a friend on where we work. I said, "I work at e2i. Have you heard of e2i ?". To my surprise, she replied with a loud exclamation, " Oh, e2i ! Yes, of course, I heard of it. The aunties below my block were talking about e2i." I 'freezed' for a moment. The response was totally unexpected. I asked myself in my heart, "Why are aunties talking about us at the void deck ?"

    The Importance of Being Courteous

    Last weekend, I went mattress-hunting as my son was outgrowing his toddler bed. I popped by the nearest place that sells mattresses. The décor was nice, airy and modern. There was one staff manning the store. I approached her to help me get the mattress. The conversation went something like this.. Me: “Excuse me, I am interested in getting a single-sized mattress for my six year old son.” Salesgirl: “What mattress you want? We have many you know.” Me: What kind do you have? I am not familiar with mattresses.” Salesgirl: “ We have so many, how to tell you? You must tell me what you want.”

    Adventure with octopuses at a café

    Wife, daughter and I went for breakfast at a café last weekend. We did not choose the place because we thought the food is delicious, or because the service is great, or because the ambience is nice, etc. In fact, we chose the place because we thought it would be a place where we can fill our stomachs without much fuss. What we assumed would be uneventful, turned out to be quite an adventure…
