Holidays come and go; another year has passed us by. What are your New Year resolutions for last year and did you manage to meet them? Are you preparing yourself for the challenging year ahead?
Whatever your resolutions may be, there is often no instantaneous result, unless you are one of those lucky winners from the recent ToTo big draw. ;) Even the winners will have to plan how to use that sum of money wisely because money can be spent very fast, but takes a long time to save.
Drawing back to my point, how do you prepare yourself for this New Year? If you are currently employed, are your skills up to date/portable to other industries? Has your resume been updated with your latest achievements? If you are currently looking for a job, how do you garner support from your networks and outreach to employers and recruitment agencies based on your competencies and previous experience? If you need help to brush up your resume or interview skills, check this out. Most importantly, discuss with your loved ones or close friends for their support so that you can shoulder on, despite the setbacks or before making your next move.
We have all been hearing that Singapore’s economy is slowing for 2012. No matter what happens, we need to press-on and stay positive for ourselves and the people who care about us.
