With an aim to increase this value-add to $5.8 billion and create 1,500 new jobs by 2025, there is a need to attract local talents for its long-term development and growth.

How does e2i support Individuals & Businesses in the Marine & Offshore Engineering Industry?

On 5 October 2021, two Career Development Plans (CDPs) for Drafting Specialists and Quality Professionals – two key functions within the industry – were launched. This was with the intention of attracting local talents with a structured progression pathway in terms of skills, wages and job role put into place.

Candidates will undergo pre-determined training, pick up skillsets that are directly relevant to their job roles and receive remuneration calibrated based on varying levels of skills and experience. With a tiered approach to progressively build up skills and experience from entry to principal-level positions, the CDPs also provide long-term career prospects for the industry.

e2i and Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) will be working together to help companies interested in the CDP in their adoption and recruitment needs.
