Career and Education Fair partners e2i to help jobseekers with career coaching and National Jobs Bank job applications
For the first time, e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) will help job-seekers with career guidance and Jobs Bank applications at the 27th annual Career and Education fair next month.
e2i will assist Singaporean job-seekers to make on-the-spot applications on the National Jobs Bank while providing guidance on jobs that are suitable for them.
Taking its drive to a major national fair to help job-seekers to target and apply for jobs available in the national bank, e2i will target both rank-and-file as well as Professionals, Managers and Executives (PMEs) from all age groups. Fresh graduates are included.
e2i employability coaches will be at hand at e2i’s booth at the annual national fair to advise visitors on suitable training and job opportunities based on their competencies and interests, and recommend training and job opportunities.
Jobseekers can also sign up for e2i’s Jobs Bank Connect, a 4-hour hands-on session, to walk-through and navigate the National Jobs Bank with more than 54,000 job listings, and get help on customising their resumes and applying for jobs online.
Visitors keen to receive more employability guidance can sign up for the two-day Executive Workshop on job search skills – including resume writing, interview handling and networking skills to secure a job – at the Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability. e2i will customise some of its weekly employability workshops for Career and Education visitors, both fresh graduates and PMEs.
Said Mr Gilbert Tan, CEO of e2i: “e2i helps Singapore workers find better job matches, upgrade skills, and earn better pay through our employment and employability services and programmes. As we bring career services to ITEs, Polytechnics, and universities, this fair is a good extension to help fresh graduates, upgraders and job seekers to understand career options in different industries.”
Ms Linda Wan, Project Director of Career and Education, 2015, said: “Our objective is to help visitors to find the right career path for them, from what they study through to finding the best job-fit. Employability coaching, which is fast catching up as a guidance tool to channel job-seekers into jobs that they are best suited for and have a passion for, will be a focus at Career and Education 2015.
“We are happy to partner e2i to provide their career coaching expertise to help visitors gain a better understanding on what to pursue, get more value as they talk to training providers and employers at the fair, and also navigate the Jobs Bank for more job opportunities. We recommend that visitors come early to make the most of the services available and to meet the employers as well as course providers.”
