More jobs and training opportunities for Singaporeans at e2i’s Employability Fair 2014
The National Trades Union Congress’ (NTUC) e2i (Employment and Employability Institute) will be organising a two-week Employability Fair from 2 – 18 May 2014 at its new campus – Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability.
The inaugural event in 2013 featured over 300 employers across 26 events and the participation of 3,000 workers. This year, the Employability Fair targets to attract 4,000 participants. Job seekers can look forward to 3,000 available job vacancies from 450 hiring employers at over 40 events.
For the first time, e2i will be partnering some of the campus tenants such as Kaplan Professional and NTUC LearningHub, to offer a variety of training courses. These training courses serve to equip workers with both horizontal and deep skills. The Employability Fair will also feature job fairs, job opportunity briefings, seminars and workshops, from across the different sectors such as Childcare & Education, Cleaning, Creative, Healthcare, Infocomm and Security. At the same time, employers can sign up for industry networking sessions to find out more about best practises and productivity solutions.
“With a bigger campus and more training partners situated in the building, e2i will be able to do more for workers. Job seekers and workers can look forward to have their employment and employability concerns addressed at one location. To serve our industry partners better, we will continue to organise more industry seminars to help companies raise productivity and make every job Easier, Safer and Smarter for their workers,’ says Mr Gilbert Tan, Chief Executive Officer of e2i.
The Devan Nair Institute for Employment and Employability was officially launched by the Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on 1 May 2014. The seven-storey campus will enable e2i to serve more workers. It will provide bigger space for blended and experiential learning, employability and vocational skills training; provide employers with manpower and productivity solutions; and enable workers to receive career coaching, skills assessment, skills upgrading and job opportunities under one roof.
Please contact e2i for more information about the events, or to request to cover the events from 2 – 18 May 2014.
